seeking input: contemplative practices in summer bridge programs

    Has anyone taught in a summer bridge program before, using contemplative practices? I’ll be teaching critical reading/writing course, and I want to ensure that the students are getting practices beyond academic skills that they can use throughout their college career. I also hope that contemplative practices can help overcome the stigma often attached to bridge programs, such as the belief that students are somehow deficient and need to be “fixed” in order to do well in college.

    If anyone has experiences and/or assignments to share, I’d love to benefit from your wisdom and not reinvent the wheel.
