This webinar explores graduate student experiences in an online course intended to introduce the role of mindfulness and contemplative pedagogy in adult learning settings.
Learners were enrolled in Mindfulness in Adult Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic when they were working and learning from home. Students participated in readings and mindfulness practices online with optional Zoom meetings to deepen understanding and begin to establish their own regular practice. A study following the course revealed how students engaged with mindfulness one and three months after the course ended.
Course design and content recommendations will be discussed.
Takeaways:
- Examine course design and content delivery options for learning and practicing mindfulness in an online/virtual course.
- Analyze graduate student experiences in an online mindfulness course.
