  • What is the Contemplative Mind in Higher Education?

    This is a private social networking website for members of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education.

  • Can I get involved?

    Access to the site may be obtained by becoming a member of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education (ACMHE).

  • Who owns it?

    This site was created and is managed by The Center for Contemplative Mind in Society, a non-profit organization based in Northampton, Massachusetts. The ACMHE is an initiative of the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society.

  • Can I give its developers suggestions? What can I do if I wish to see a new feature added?

    You may email Carrie Bergman, Creative Director, at carrie@contemplativemind.org.

Accounts

  • How do I create a new account?

    When applying to the ACMHE, we ask you to specify your preferred username. If you are accepted to the ACMHE, we will set up an account for you.

  • Are there different types of account?

    All members have the same type of account, with the same privileges. The exceptions are Beth Wadham (username: Beth) and Carrie Bergman (username: News), who are the administrators of the site.

  • How do I delete my account?

    We will delete your account after your ACMHE membership lapses for 90 days, unless other arrangements are made in advance.

Communitites

  • What is a community?

    A community is a sub-section of the website that members create to focus on a particular subject or topic of interest. Communities are member-created and member-driven.

  • How do I link to other communities?

    After logging in, click the "Your Network" menu option. You will see sub-menu options for "Communities" -- click it to list all communities. To create a new community, click "Owned Communities."

Friends

  • How do I link to my friends?

    To browse all member profiles, click the "Browse Member Profiles" link found in the upper-right corner. Then, click a member's name to view their profile.

  • What constitutes a friend I can link to?
